Moldings
can transform an attractive home into a home that
looks truly exceptional. Our large inventory of hardwood
and Poplar moldings
comes in over 1,000 stock styles, or we can mill custom
moldings
to your exact specifications in a wide variety of
woods.
Stock and custom designs
Whether you are restoring a historic property, are duplicating
existing moldings
or are looking to create something original, we mill
custom moldings from an actual sample, a sketch or full-scale
design. Using the latest CAD and precision CNC technology,
we can mill standard to intricate straight-run moldings
or create special curved and arched moldings.
Fax or e-mail
us a pattern, specify the wood species and
how many feet you need, and we will develop a cost
estimate.
Selection of woods
You can create a distinctive look with our in-stock
hardwood moldings
that include Cherry, Oak and Maple. We also custom
mill hardwood moldings
in a wide variety of other wood species. See our Hardwood
Guide for information on other varieties of wood
available.
If you are looking for Poplar
or primed Poplar moldings,
we stock a large inventory of profiles and can also
create custom designs.
Solid hardwood and Poplar moldings
are available in 6- to 16-foot lengths.
Download the Morse
Hardwoods Millwork Catalog of stock profiles
or contact us to
request a CD-ROM of our in-house molding
profiles.
Primed finger-joint moldings
For moldings that will be painted, our primed Poplar
finger-joint moldings
are an excellent, cost-effective choice. Specially
kiln-dried, these moldings
hold a smooth, finished look throughout their life.
Choose from an array of stock styles, as well as custom
designs. Primed finger-joint moldings
come in 16-foot lengths.
Installation recommendations
For best results, we recommend you dehumidify the
job site before and during installation and finishing,
and store moldings off the floor. Allow moldings
to acclimate for 3 to 5 days with low heat or air
conditioning on.
